I like this poem a lot and the self-deprecating theme I have used in it. This poem is one of my favorites.

Hands of Leonardo da Vinci painted Mona Lisa

Hands of Isaac Newton discovered gravity

Hands of Beethoven orchestrated the Fifth Symphony

Hands of Michelangelo sculpted David

Hands of Michael Jackson composed Billie Jean

Hands of Shah Rukh Khan portrayed love

Hands of my father earned for his family

Hands of my mother brought up her family

Hands of my siblings took them to places

Hands of my friends led them to success

Ashamed, I look at my hands and ask

'What have you done?'

Trembling, they reply

'We have been holding out for someone to hold us back'
