Love In Daily Life - II

This is the second installment in the series of scripts. I wrote this on 23 January, 2024.

The first part depicted her love towards him and this part describes his love for her.

INT. INSIDE THE HOUSE

She is sitting on the sofa and talking to her friends on a

group call

FRIENDS

Achi sale lagiwi hai is baar ab bas

yeh kaprey darzi time pe seede aur

sahi se seede phir Eid main maza

aayega InshaAllah. Tum tau apni

shopping dikhao yaar

He is back from work

He unlocks the main door and comes in

HIM

Assalamualaikum

He notices that she is in a call and mouths Hello

She mouths back Hello and smiles

He walks towards his room

HER

Are abhi tak shopping kari nahi yeh

itna masroof hote hain InshaAllah

jab karungi tau dikhaongi

He hears this and his mood changes but she does not notice

HER (CONT’D)

Acha ab main khaana khaane ja rahi

hoon. Baad main baat karte hain

Few minutes later

She is sitting at the dining table with all the food ready

HER (CONT’D)

Jaldi aaien bhai bhook lag rahi hai kabse

He has now changed from his work clothes to sleepwear

He comes and sits on the chair next to her

They both grab their plates and get food

She starts eating

He breaks a piece of roti and dips it in the gravy. He keeps

dipping it without eating.

She notices this

HER (CONT’D)

(jokingly)

Ab itna bura bhi khaana nahi banaya

ke aap ek niwala bhi na lein

He drops the piece back to his plate and looks to her in the

eyes but then he looks away from her. He avoids her gaze and

takes a long sigh

HIM

Sorry tumhe meri wajah se jhoot

bolna parhta hai apni doston se ke

hum waqt na hone ki wajah se

shopping pe nahi ja pa rahe jabke

tumhe pata hai ke hum paise na hone

ki wajah se nahi ja rahe

HER

Ohoo is baat pe aap itna pareshaan

horahe hain. Abhi halaat kharaab

chal rahe hain InshaAllah kal sahi

hojainege, aap uski tension na

lein. Araam se khaana khaaien

He gets up from his chair

HER (CONT’D)

Kidhar ja rahe hain ab

HIM

Paani la raha hoon kitchen se

He goes to the kitchen and while he is gone she notices a

shopping bag at the leg of his chair

HER

Yeh shopping bag main kya hai

HIM

Are haan usko kal stree karlena Eid se pehle

HER

Woh tau sahi hai lekin yeh hai

kiska suit aur woh bhi Sana Safinaz ka

He comes back from the kitchen and leans over her chair

HIM

halaat kharaab tau chal rahe hain

lekin itne bure bhi nahi ke main

apni biwi ko Eid pe suit na de

sakun

She looks at him and starts crying

HER

Iski kya zaroorat thi maine kaha

bhi tha aapse ke purana suit hai

mera main woh pehenlungi

HIM

Ab tau aapko yeh naya suit hi

pehenna parega

He sits on his chair and starts eating

She is still crying and looking at him

HIM (CONT’D)

(JOKINGLY)

Ab itna bura bhi khaana nhai banaya

hai aapne ke aap niwala bhi na lein

She smiles and wipes off her tears and starts eating
