The End

This poem creates a sense of tension and stress. It has created a picture that the end is near and I want to be with her for the last time. I want to experience everything with her again for the last time. I personally like this poem because not many of my poems have a visual description of a setting. I think I intentionally wrote this way to invoke a mental picture in the minds of the readers. Anyway, the poem ends with the revelation that the storm is only falling on me but not on her. The suppressed feelings and unsaid words are causing this chaos inside me. The last line indicates that I still want to be with her and go through all of it once again.

Even the sky's gray now
Indicating that this is the end
But before it starts to pour and ends us
I want to know what's in your heart for the last time
I want to look into your glistening black eyes for the last time
I want to hear your infectious laugh for the last time
I want you to caress my messy hair for the last time
I want you to boundlessly hold me for the last time
I want us to shed solemn tears for the last time
I want us to innocuously argue for the last time
I want to...
The sky has turned into ashes now
It's pouring
We are slowly dissipating
I am drenched, but you aren't
The rain is only falling on me
You're unfazed, but I'm destroyed
I want to feel your brown tresses for the first...
